Today she shares her mentoring advice for women in business.
Melinda Wittstock: Jewels, welcome to Wings.
Jewels Arnes: Oh my gosh. Thank you. It's so … I'm so happy to be here.
Melinda Wittstock: I'm happy to have you on as well, because I think you're doing something really unique and special in the world. And I wanted to start by asking you what's inspiring you right now?
Jewels Arnes: My inspiration has always been personal healing, and that journey to discovering higher states of consciousness. And with this new business that I started a couple of years ago, my passion is really about resetting the body to a place of what I call upgraded human potential. Because I think that as we move into higher states of consciousness, we can really reprogram things that most people think, like aging is inevitable. And I think that that would be my passion is to recreate that program into, I get to choose how I want to age.
Melinda Wittstock: That's really, really beautiful and so inspiring. And I think of how much toxicity there is in the planet, both environmental and a lot of the foods we eat. It's so important to be conscious of this. And so in your business, what are some of your challenges right now? We all have them. I like to de-stigmatize them because they're part of the entrepreneurial process. What's a challenge for you in your life and your business?
Jewels Arnes: You know what I'm finding my biggest challenges right now is having a clear focus, because there's so many opportunities of different ways to grow business and you get excited about them all, but then you have your energy going into too many places at one time. So I think my biggest challenge is finding the ones that I resonate with the most, and just letting go of the rest of them. And it's so hard because they all are exciting, but you can't do everything at one time.
Melinda Wittstock: So it's so challenging because when we unlock abundance on a really spiritual level, suddenly we have so many opportunities and abundance of that, which then … I don't know. We can't do it all. It's true. Right? So you've got to pick the ones that are the most important for you at that given time. So that can be a challenge. I know that's one of mine. So along the way, Jewels, you've learned a lot of things. What would be your top three pieces of advice you want to share on our mentoring Minisode?
Jewels Arnes: Of course, my first one is to follow your heart. It's so funny how I got to where I am right now. When I first started this journey, I had no idea where it was even leading me, but I just kept trusting the intuition and those intuitive hits and just kept doing these little tiny steps that eventually opened up to something that I would have never been able to create by just thinking alone. So that would be my number one. And then of course going along the path, I've learned a lot on the business side and what I just discovered is get your trademark right away. I waited and I'm actually having to change the name of my company because I am unable to trademark the name I originally had.
So that was a really big one and then step three is focus. That's the one thing I've really … I kind of mentioned it before, but is the more we can filter energy into what we're trying to create and not get sidetracked, the faster it's going to come into form. And then you can take the next step and put your energy into the next part that you feel passionate about. But having too many filters or too many places that our passion is going to, it's really hard to bring it into form.
Melinda Wittstock: As women we are so good at doing it all. That's kind of how our brains work, that we often do. It's like a default. And in business it's so important to get that focus and do the one thing that brings you the most leverage. So Jewels, you have an amazing product. I know because I've used it. It's really, really awesome. How can people find you, find it, work with you, et cetera.
Jewels Arnes: Yeah, thanks for asking. So they'll want to go to eternalgoldskincare.com. And there's so many different avenues you can go. I do anything from face reading to doing individual sessions, and then of course there's an abundance of products to choose from.
Melinda Wittstock: That's wonderful. Well, thank you so much for putting on your wings with us and sharing your advice on our mentoring Minisode.
Jewels Arnes: Thank you. Thank you for having me.
